Rayman Origins (XBOX 360)
Rayman Origins from UBISOFT sees us catapulted in to the Rayman universe again in the whimsical 2D side-scrolling platform; the latest inside a unique number of games that started using the discharge of Rayman in 1995. Bingo is really a prequel towards earlier Rayman titles, occur the Glade of Dreams where Rayman with his fantastic friends, Globox, Bubble Dreamer and the Teensies accidentally find a war making use of their neighbours from the Land with the Livid Dead by snoring too loudly. In the event the Glade of Dreams is overrun by Darktoons, the Fairy Council tasks Rayman to fight the foes. Having escaped capture, Rayman and friends must work their way by using a compilation of themed stages, because they fight Darktoons and also other evil creatures which may have infected the Glade of Dreams. In the process we uncover the roots of Rayman by collecting bits of the Glade's background assemble these to reveal comprehend behind Rayman's origins.
Gameplay
Rayman Origins is simultaneously playable by approximately 4-Players who Jump-In or Jump-Out at any time without affecting though others' progression. We can elect to control Rayman, Globox or two Teensies, with additional costumes available because the game progresses along with the game occurs through 12 unique environments with over 60 levels. Along with the standard platform levels, we're also treated to scrolling shoot-'em-up challenges, end-of-level bosses and underwater exploration. Looking just a little deeper into your gameplay we spend our time collecting floating objects called Lums. Collecting the King Lum doubles the worth of other nearby Lums once we have now reached some Lum targets we earn extra Electoons along with order to succeed through certain aspects of the storyplot we have to free toons. Then as being the game progresses we gain new abilities that follow us through-out the experience allowing us a lot of probability to return and replay previous levels in different ways.
Each level has hidden locations where we have to solve a puzzle so that you can free the caged Electoons and after certain levels are completed we will access a period of time trial mode through which we must race throughout the level as soon as possible to earn more rewards. We could also unlock special treasure chest levels, through which players must chase a runaway treasure chest across various hazards. The environments are fairly typical in the wild, as an example we play through desert, jungle, ice, underwater, and in some cases underground. However, every environment is crammed full of graphic whimsy, every scene is really a visual feast of idiosyncratic silliness. As well as the levels are compact and challenging demanding split second timing and dexterity which offers a significant challenge.
Graphics and Audio
It is undeniably one of the better looking games we've ever seen, it is a cohesive a thing of beauty. Origins always made us smile this also is due mainly for the graphics, the eccentric environments and characters which have been goofy but drawn fantastically, the animation is without lag or judder as we transit the globe and new visual delights unfold smoothly looking at us. Each area is rich in colour and depth along with the landscapes have a huge number of detail which delicately fades in to the background. Along with the visual same in principle as Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory is together with an equally bizarre but well-crafted soundtrack. We are slightly taken aback to confess that the soundtrack which uses a real massive amount unusual instruments from harp to banjo, bongos, chimes and my way through between, is proven to work fine.
Summary
Rayman Origins is a game that made us laugh out loud with joy. It is beautifully and amusingly rendered, in an industry that is focused on the ultra-realistic war and various types of dystopia, this games offers a breath of fresh air giving us only whimsical fun. That said it does have a couple of minor issues... it can be a little too challenging for novice gamers in places but with a little help they will soon be on their way again. The spectacular graphics can also be misleading as at times we were uncertain as to what was bizarre scenery and what was malicious foe. Other than these very minor points though the game plays exceptionally well.
With a huge number of levels, shoot-'em-up challenges, epic boss fights, unlockable skins, moves, plus a plethora of hidden treats, this games offer hours of excellent clean fun. Couple by purchasing Jump-In or Jump-Out co-op play and imaginative visuals and Rayman Origins actually is a game title that individuals just keep playing.
